Information we may process
Depending on the feature, Arowet may process account and profile details, uploaded content, links, analytics events, support messages, abuse reports, policy acceptance records, payment references, access logs, device information, and security data.
We should collect only what is needed for account operation, security, moderation, payment processing, customer support, legal compliance, and clearly described product features.
How information is used
- Create and secure accounts, profiles, links, uploads, events, QR codes, and subscriptions.
- Verify creator identity, payout eligibility, ownership, consent, and policy acceptance.
- Process purchases through a compatible payment provider without storing complete card information.
- Detect abuse, protect private content, investigate reports, maintain audit logs, and comply with law.
- Send only the transactional and product communications allowed by the user’s choices.
Private and paid content
Private and paid content may be reviewed by authorized personnel or service providers when needed for safety, payment compliance, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or an appeal. Access checks must be based on the authenticated user and an active entitlement for the exact content item, not on a URL or client-side value.
Protected responses should use private, no-store caching and short-lived authorized access. Do not include private media, permanent private URLs, passwords, card data, or identity documents in email.
Retention, deletion, and rights
Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is needed. Account data may be removed or anonymized when it is no longer needed, while payment references, security logs, moderation records, and audit records may be kept for fraud prevention, financial reconciliation, safety, and legal compliance.
Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. Identity verification may be required before fulfilling a request.
Policy acceptance and material changes
Arowet should store the user ID, policy name, policy version, acceptance timestamp, IP address, and user agent for each required acceptance. Material policy changes should require acceptance again before the affected feature is enabled.
